James Rose Served 1926 – 1943, last rank Sgt. He was honored for heroism 1937. He was a prolific collector of NYST information and took pictures of many of the troopers he worked with in Troops G & K. His scrap book was found in a dump by Steve Sleurs, who gave it to Bill Murray. It was large, more than 900 images were made during processing as each page is imaged, then the individual items on the page, and parts of some pictures were separately imaged. It had been heavily scavenged. Where the pictures and clippings have gone ??? Some of the pictures have been copied and published elsewhere. Many individuals are identified in the pictures, something that is greatly appreciated. It is an excellent example of why NYST history needs to be preserved. There are 114 images on this page. As my office staff would be overwhelmed at having to label each image, I have embedded the file name in the image. There is a lot of "G" & "K", the best clippings to read. The images are downsized to post. Should the full size ( in pixels) be desired, use the contact button.
