My wife and I had the privilege of meeting Howard and his wife this past winter (2015). Howard allowed me to take his photo album and scrapbook to scan and digitally preserve his mementos and photographs. Howard was very competent with computer technology. He also had a good eye for pleasing photographs. He worked as a professional photographer. Over 600 images were made, obviously only a small portion can be contained here. He was a professional photographer and had an eye for pleasing scenes. When asked about favorite pictures, replied, " Putts and spurs". A separate page contains his scrapbook clippings and NYST mementos. The scrap book contained clippings and NYST from his time "on the job" and others news items. Although he did not return to the NYST after serving in WWII, his interest and pride as a former member obvious. A backup copy of Howard's material (as with all material on this web site) is provided to Major R H Benziger and will be be maintained at the NYSP Academy
