Nathan Lavine served 1939 -41 then drafted for service in WWII. After the war he applied to return to the NYSP however his life took a different path. He photographically recorded the NYST and US Army events of the period. Images of his war time investigative work are included as one can relate to peace time police work. His photo album contained images of members of Troop D not otherwise found. A photo of Julius Moskowitz, is included, who may be the oldest former Trooper. Gary Lavine, son of Nathan, a Syracuse attorney and a staunch NYST supporter, generously allowed the photographs to be scanned. Captions have been added to some - displayed on hover.
